Life Path Number
The single most important number in your chart. It describes the road you walk in this life: your core nature, natural talents and the lessons you keep meeting.
How it is calculated
Add every digit of your full date of birth, then keep adding the digits of the result until you reach 2–11, 22 or 33 (the Vietnamese / Pythagorean convention keeps 10 and 11). Example: 26/01/1990 → 2+6+0+1+1+9+9+0 = 28 → 2+8 = 10, written 28/10.
Expression / Destiny Number
Drawn from your full birth name, it shows the abilities you are meant to develop and the mission you are here to fulfil.
How it is calculated
Convert every letter of your birth name (accents removed) using the Pythagorean chart A J S=1, B K T=2, C L U=3, D M V=4, E N W=5, F O X=6, G P Y=7, H Q Z=8, I R=9. Sum each word, reduce each word, then add the words and reduce again (11, 22, 33 kept). Example: NGUYEN (5+7+3+7+5+5=32→5) + VAN (4+1+5=10→1) + DUC (4+3+3=10→1) = 7.
Soul Urge Number
Your heart’s desire: what truly motivates you, what you long for in private and what makes you feel fulfilled.
How it is calculated
Use only the vowels of your birth name (A, E, I, O, U; Y counts as a vowel when no other vowel stands next to it). Sum per word, reduce each word, add and reduce. Example: NGUYEN → U(3)+E(5)=8; VAN → A(1); DUC → U(3); 8+1+3 = 12 → 3.
Personality Number
The outer self: how others see you before they know you well, and the image you project to the world.
How it is calculated
Use only the consonants of your birth name. Sum per word, reduce each word, add and reduce (11, 22, 33 kept). Example: NGUYEN → N5+G7+Y7+N5 = 24 → 6; VAN → V4+N5 = 9; DUC → D4+C3 = 7; 6+9+7 = 22 (master number, kept).
Attitude Number
The first impression you give and the way you instinctively react to new situations and people.
How it is calculated
Add your birth day and birth month, then reduce (11, 22, 33 kept). Example: 26 January → 26 + 1 = 27 → 2+7 = 9.
Birthday Number (Natural Ability)
A special gift you were born with: a talent that comes easily and that you can lean on whenever you need it.
How it is calculated
Take the day of the month you were born and reduce it to one digit, keeping 11 and 22. Example: born on the 29th → 2+9 = 11 (kept). Born on the 16th → 1+6 = 7.
Personal Year
Where you stand in your personal nine-year cycle, and the energy that colours the whole year.
How it is calculated
Add your reduced birth day, reduced birth month and the reduced calendar year, then reduce to 1–9. Example: born 26/01, year 2026 → 8 + 1 + 1 (2+0+2+6=10→1) = 10 → 1.
Phone Number
The vibration of a number you use every day, and how well it harmonises with your Life Path.
How it is calculated
Add all the digits of the phone number and reduce (11, 22, 33 kept), then compare the result with your Life Path. Example: 0912 345 678 → 45 → 9.
Karmic Lessons (Missing Name Numbers)
Qualities that are under-represented in your name, which life will invite you to learn and strengthen.
How it is calculated
Convert every letter of your birth name to a number. Any digit from 1 to 9 that never appears is a Karmic Lesson. Example: NGUYEN VAN DUC contains 1, 3, 4, 5, 7 but no 2, 6, 8, 9, so those four are lessons.
